Greetings! For over a
decade I’ve had numerous opportunities to run in the Rowell Area Park. I’ve
galloped through the park with Shannan, friends, and once in a road race. Not a
single time did the experience disappoint. I often recommend Roswell Area Park
(my friends in the community call it Roswell Rec) as a terrific place to run.
The advantages of the
park include the route is well marked. It has good lighting, and the park is regularly
well populated. My favorite part come in the scenery of the 3.2 mile course (which
is an out and back loop). The long (orange) path passes schools, sports fields,
tennis courts, crosses a creek and circumnavigates a small lake with a
fountain. Water fowl and turtles inhabit the lake. Last weekend, I saw a turtle
with a shell as big as a basketball. The other two high points are the park has
multiple restrooms and water fountains. It’s a winner through and through.
Enjoy the route. Run.
Tom
