Greetings! Much too often I have noted a preference
for cardio to resistance exercise. It took a couple of years, and a bevy of
injuries to convince me to add at least one day a week of workouts with weights
to my schedule. Like many others, I tend to avoid resistance routines simply
because they hurt. To me, lifting weights hurts in the moment, and if you
worked hard, the exercised areas will hurt afterwards as well (I get that is the point). All that said, I
have eagerly awaited Sagi Kalev’s Week of Hard Labor. It’s an intense 5-day resistance
program with the creator of the Body Beast.
I haven’t had a change of philosophy. As a consequence
of using Beachbody on Demand’s Work Out of the Day, I’ve been introduced to
Sagi’s programs. Like Shaun T and Tony Horton, I find Sagi’s on-screen presence
to be quite entertaining. That goes a long way in the middle of his super sets
of heavy lifting. Today’s workout is a weighted core routine. I looking forward
to getting to work on third day of Hard Labor.
