A Day Off?

Greetings! Less than a month from now will mark the 19th anniversary of The Streak. It’s an interesting distinction for sure. The Streak is such a part of my life that when I’m in situations where participants share an interesting fact about themselves, I rarely think of it. When I do, many folks are immediately interested in how I work daily exercise into a busy life and if I ever want a day off just for a break.

I am always happy to share my Streak preserving practices. The thought of a day away from exercise seems as odd as placing my hand in a container full of tarantulas, and I really dislike spiders.

Among my favorite benefits of The Streak are times like now when I reflect over the previous year and my long history of daily exercise. As I have chronicled on this site, the journey has been a delight. That is part and parcel of the process for me.  Exercising promotes my positive attitude.

As the 19-year milestone approaches I’m mindful of how fortunate and grateful I am to have the opportunity to exercise and to family and friends who support that lifestyle.

Run Daily.
