Greetings! Last Friday I had a brilliant
plan for a cross fit style workout later in the day. I wasn’t sure how it would
go, and I was waiting for someone else to join me. So, I decided to get in a little a
warm up exercise. I did a quick search of Youtube for workout routines. I found
one that seemed like a good starter for the day as well as something different
from the style of exercise I had been doing. It was a BOSU program. I’ve had a
BOSU ball for years, but don’t use it regularly.
Just for clarity, a BOSU ball is
half circle on a rigid circular platform. BOSU means BOth Sides
Up. In the video the trainer, Dana Lee, effectively uses both sides. Her
high intensity interval workout is a very good one. I was soaked in sweat by
the end of the short Youtube video. Lee’s program consists of 5 moves for
three sets. Here is the link:
After the seconded work out of dragging,
throwing, chopping, pulling, climbing and the like, I was gassed and bit sore.
All in all, the two workouts made for a good day of physical fitness.
BOSU or Run!
Tom
