Greetings! Over 20 years ago I purchased a second hand Nordic Track from Shannan's father, Dave. As is his custom, Dave took very good care of the well crafted piece of exercise equipment. Upon receipt it worked perfectly. I promptly set it up in the living room of our home and started mock skiing. I've posted on this site before about the Nordic Track. I still use it, but only on travel days.
Over the years I've put the Nordic Track to good use, and to that end it’s showing signs of aging. I keep the Nordic Track purely for nostalgic reasons. For me, the device was my gateway to regular exercise. It helped in one of the most important transitions in my adult life.
The other day as I was cleaning the Nordic Track the component that kept track of time, distance and calories broke loose from the frame. The internal portion had long stopped working. I found this a bit disheartening, but not enough to let it go. We’ll be traveling tomorrow and I’ll use the Nordic Track as is my travel day ritual.
Have rituals. Run.
Tom
